ON SATURDAY, APRIL 7, 2012, AT 10:00AM, THERE WILL BE A "GET OUT LEHIGH VALLEY WALK SERIES EVENT" OFFERED BY THE LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK AND THE WILDLANDS CONSERVANCY.
IT WILL BE A 2 MILE, 1 HOUR LONG WALK ON A DISABILITY GRADE COMPLIANT ROUTE WHICH WILL BE EASY FOR KIDS TO TRAVERSE. VISIBLE WILL BE THE LEHIGH RIVER, AS WELL AS, THE PROPOSED ROUTE OF THE DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL TRAIL. THE WALK WILL ALSO PASS THE HISTORIC SCHOFFER CEMENT KILNS IN COPLAY. THE STARTING POINT WILL BE AT THE TRAILHEAD OF THE IRONTON RAIL/TRAIL WHICH IS LOCATED IN STILES (WEST COPLAY), WHITEHALL, PA. IT IS AT THE EXTREME NORTH END OF RUCH ST. FOR INFO, CALL 610-402-CARE.
